Pauly B & Jeremy Mayall
As part of Nocturnal Projections & Other Small Happenings, Pauly B and Jeremy Mayall will deliver a site-specific improvisational live performance, exploring the real-time collaboration between visuals and sound.
Pauly B is an artist based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton). He is driven to create work that reveals process. This can be seen in his public painting of murals and projected performances which include live content creation. He performs live projection art for music and theatre as an extension of his visual arts practice. He is currently a member of the audio-visual improvisation band Dr. Mesmer’s Private Army. Previously, Pauly was a member of The Mamaku Project band. Pauly B has created video installations for theatre, dance, and opera and have performed in throughout New Zealand and in Singapore.

Jeremy Mayall is a composer, producer and performer based in Hamilton, NZ. He works in music, sound art, installation and multimedia formats, with a focus on exploring his fascination in the interrelationships between sound, time, space, the senses, and the human experience. He is currently a member of the audio-visual improvisation band Dr. Mesmer’s Private Army. His work often explores the process of collaboration, and recent projects have included work with musicians, dancers, poets, aerial silks performers, theatre practitioners, scientists, perfumers, bakers, authors, sculptors, filmmakers, pyrotechnicians, lighting designers and visual artists.
