Sound artist Kingsley Melhuish’s broad sound palette is both captivating and evocative. Drawing across theatre, free improvised, and contemporary music, his recent works include composing and performing Only Ocean with Courtney Sina Meredith and Black Grace for the Guerilla Collection, featured on Eve de Castro Robinson’s award-winning album ‘Gristle of Knuckles’, and partners with fellow sound architect Alan Brown in the critically acclaimed Alargo. Other collaborators have included visual artists Philip Tse, Alvin Xiong, poet Kim Meredith and contemporary composers SJD, Don McGlashan and Tim Finn.
His work in Nocturnal Projections & Other Small Happenings will explore location as an influence on the artist, drawing on his time in Dunedin during his formative years.
