Jeremy Mayall & Luke McConnell
As part of Nocturnal Projections & Other Small Happenings, Jeremy Mayall and Luke McConnell will explore the connections between ideas of shape and texture in both sonic and visual forms and combinations.
Jeremy Mayall (AUDIO) is a composer, producer and performer based in Hamilton, NZ. He works in music, sound art, installation and multimedia formats, with a focus on exploring his fascination in the interrelationships between sound, time, space, the senses, and the human
experience. Recent installation works have been exhibited at Wallace Gallery, Waikato Museum, The Pah Homestead,
WOMAD, and the Hamilton Gardens.
Luke McConnell (VISUAL) is a visual artist and designer as well as a Lecturer in the School of Media Arts, at Wintec, in Hamilton, New Zealand. His practice focuses on using animation software and projectors to create and manipulate environments/spaces. Luke studied and worked as a graphic designer but quickly became interested in animation with a particular interest in how it could be used outside of common practise. Recently his projection work has been seen at LUX (Wellington), Auckland Live, and the Waikato Museum.
